Workplace Change at Uniting RCL, Consultation 19 Feb

Your HSU Organiser has been following up on the issue raised by members about the employer’s ‘Quick Memo’ regarding Lift 2 replacement works and potential redeployment at RCL. Uniting has now formalised the process under clause 47 of your Enterprise Agreement and provided notice in writing.


  • Work is scheduled to start mid April 2026 and is expected to finish mid July 2026.
  • The notice says the change is expected to have minimal impact on permanent staff, and that Uniting will work with casual staff regarding shifts.
  • There will be a staff briefing and group consultation. Your local Organiser Hyojung will attend via Teams as your representative. 

What members should do now:

  • Attend the briefing if you are affected, or if you may be affected.
  • Do not attend any individual consultation meeting alone if you want representation.
