Major Workplace Change at Uniting Autumn Lodge
Dear member, Uniting has advised the HSU of their intention to make major changes to kitchen operations at Uniting Autumn Lodge, Armidale RAC. The proposal includes the transition to a centralised cook-to-chill service model, “meals would be prepared in the Glass Street building kitchen, with the Butler Street building kitchen transitioning to a servery‑only function (reheating and meal service)”. It is anticipated that most kitchen staff will be affected by the change, with ‘small adjustments’ expected to affect shift times and duties. Uniting intends to formally commence consultation from 20 April 2026 with implementation anticipated to start 1 July 2026. HSU members are encouraged to provide their feedback on the proposed changes.
