Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Restructure at Lachlan Community Mental Health

A restructure within the Lachlan Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team is being proposed by Western NSW LHD (WNSWLHD). This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- The proposed change involved regrading a Psychologist position to a Senior Mental Health Clinician position.
- Management claim that the CAMHS positions at Lachlan have historically been very difficult to fill with long periods of vacancy.
- This particular position has been vacant since September 2023 despite recruitment attempts and further incentives. WNSWLHD hopes this change would attract skilled, experienced clinicians and increases chances of successful recruitment.
