McLean Care Transfer of Business
Wednesday 11 February, 2026
The HSU has received information from the McLean Care Board of Directors regarding the future of their operations.
It has been advised that the Board will be seeking to transfer McLean Care’s residential, home care, independent living units and iAge Health to a new provider - this is known as a ‘transfer of business’.
You can read McLean Care’s correspondence at this link.
A transfer of business is not uncommon in the Aged Care sector and the HSU is here to support you every step of the way.
We will keep you informed of any developments as they arise and, in the meantime, we suggest members:
- Request a copy of their contract of employment;
- Check and keep copies of their payslips; and
- Request copies of current leave balances.
For any questions or to find out more, please reach out to your HSU Organiser/Delegate or HSU Member Services Division on 1300 478 679.
