Ramsay members: Are you entitled to backpay?

Were you reclassified as an operating assistant in the last two years? Are you a wardsperson or porter who works in theatres? You might be entitled to backpay if you haven't yet received it.
- Many wardspeople across Ramsay were reclassified as operating assistants to properly recognise the work they do. This did not automatically result in backpay for some employees that may be entitled to it.
- Other wardspeople or porters are potentially working in theatres while receiving a lower rate of pay.
- The first step to solving this is determining who this affects. If you are an operating assistant, wardsperson or porter, please fill in a short survey HERE.
Members are encouraged to share this survey with any colleague who might be impacted, even if they aren't an HSU member yet.
