Transfer of business at St Agnes
Thursday 9 April, 2026
Dear member,
St Agnes have informed HSU members that they will be transferring their catering/food service business to Morrison Living.
St Agnes confirmed during Wednesday’s consultative meeting that:
- The ‘majority’ of kitchen and servery staff will be offered new contracts, with no word on whether redeployment will be an option;
- Transferring employees will remain under the St Agnes Enterprise Agreement;
- Morrison Living will begin individual consultation from 20 April 2026; and
- The transfer of business is expected to be finalised by 1 July 2026.
When a transfer of business occurs, all employees’ current pay and conditions must transfer to the new employer. This includes all leave balances.
HSU members are urged to request their leave balances prior to the transfer, and then again once the transfer is completed.
Your employer must consult with you. This includes meeting with you to discuss the change and any potential impacts on your employment.
To arrange representation or to find out more, please reach out to your HSU delegate, your HSU Organiser Karen Wiles at karen.wiles@hsu.asn.au or your Member Services Division on 1300 478 679.
Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today to receive representation during this process. We are always stronger when we stand together.
